Ph. D. candidate / Event Co-ordinator
I am researching on Asian culture and urbanism. Urbanism and diverse cultures in South East Asia with main keywords, including “open space”, “community” and “communication” which currently focus on art scene in Thailand have been exploring.
In accordance with aforementioned keywords, I previously run art-based project in Phuket, conforming to 120th Anniversary of Japan-Thailand Diplomatic Relation 2007, authorized and supported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan and the Royal Thai Consulate-General Osaka, Japan. Furthermore renewal of the project has been operated since September 2008 by doing artistic edutainment workshops in educational places in Phuket and purpose of project’s future plan will emphasize Phuket community improvement. I recently start curation and event coordinate work with complicated thought on Cultural Creativity and Social Inclusion.
Recently, I try to put art into Phuket society after Tsunami devastation and misleading tourism business has been spreading out. For the research, “Community Art” which generally plays significant role one thought of people all over the world is much deeper than the definition of community art because “Social Inclusion” is interlarded as the component of social recovery strategy for Asian people, so it will represent “what we can do” in improving society.
