LITE realizes that the civilization of each country is ongoing stream, representing the uniqueness of its own revolution and if each cultural difference conceives each other and knows how to heed and exchange their culture, joie de vivre (joy of living) will call upon all lives. To be in accordance with this vision LITE is eager to present one of small unit of cultural exchanging between two countries; Thailand and Japan which both have delicate cultures but a variety of differences are awaiting to be explored and exchanged.
For this scheme LITE focuses on presenting exquisite artistic designs, created by Thais (B.O.R.E.D Design), on Japanese math rock band (LITE) performance. In the first quarter of this year different designed stuffs, such as, LITE’s flyers, T-shirts, band promotion stickers had been invented by B.O.R.E.D Design and presented to Japanese art community and these grasped very nice attention from Japanese as a new. Although this is just small step but it will be more works to present how two different culture-countries work together harmoniously. Moreover this will boost up culture and art relationship between Thailand and Japan from small to large scales
In 2003 LITE was formed by four piece in Tokyo. They played several gigs around Tokyo with self-released two demo CDs. First is mini-album, “LITE” released in 2005 and second is full-length “Filmlets” through Transduction in U.K. and Cargo in Europe. They toured the U.K. and Ireland and have received critical acclaim in Japan with large scale of music festivals, “Fuji Rock Festival” “Countdown Japan” and many more, participating in the project “Radio Head Tribute” on their song, named “Everything is Its Right Place” as well as “Fantasia Europe Tour 2008” is most recent event they enjoyed.
On May 2009 new album of LITE will be recorded and tour in America with Mike Watt (from Minutemen) who is world’s renown American among math rock and installment rock scene and during last quarter of this year, they will be on tour in some of Southeast Asia countries, for instance, Thailand, Malaysia and Singapore.
B.O.R.E.D Design is the quite well-known artist group in Bangkok and the fame gradually spreads to Southeast Asian region as well. Visual design, motion graphic, illustration, lighting are what they are good at. B.O.R.E.D designed tours’ goods for LITE Winter Tour 2009 and will produce all designing works for LITE’s shows which will be held in Tokyo.
A showcase of lighting, motion graphic, stage designing and planning will be managed by B.O.R.E.D and while performances of LITE and Adebisi Shank are entertaining the audiences, prominent works of B.O.R.E.D with self-composed music will be displayed. This will be the unveiling of Thai youths’ designing creation through the tempo of Japanese music to Japanese.

National Centre, (performing arts) was my first destination I had planned to visit and watch “Splendid Voice- Road to the Skyline” –Symphonic Choir Concert of Chinese and Foreign Classical Music- with former staff of Tang (contemporary art staff 798 art zone). Even though this performance which represented on theme of old Chinese traditional and political narrative disappointed me a little bit because its music, telling about Chinese political power caused some gloom to audiences, in particularly foreigners but this was good experience. The construction of the National Centre is pretty well-constructed and organized for performing several kinds of art. My second stop was 798 art zone. Architectural and art works here are pretty good. It took me about 6 hours to explore it. In my opinion, Beijing itself has a potential to do much more nice things because Chinese has the financial strength, if it is compared to Thailand. Even Japan and China have unpleasant historical record to each other but hospitality of many Chinese people impressed me and they took a good care of me during this jaunt.

My experimental research “visual support” for LITE with my coordinated project at Liquid Room Ebisu (most renown live house in Japan) presented to a large number of Thai audiences and Thai VJ, gathering here leads me some clues of researching about cultural exchange between Japan and Thailand.
This will be one of my experiments and future event explorations on July.

My recent expedition to Taiwan was pretty wonderful. Good friends and superb inspiration could be found here, especially the southern part of Taiwan where I could feel that its people are like Thailand.
Honestly sightseeing is not my choice when I take a trip to another place but the way to know how this country is I have to rely on the sightseeing. At first I faced not so good impression and finding something really nice to be souvenir which is both fake and real products are not qualified, so it would be next time. This is my 3rd trip to visit Taiwan and this time opened my sight more by sightseeing. I had tried to find out some good points of Taiwan. Some of my tears could be dropped here and laughing with happiness also could entertain me and these were caused by various destinations and people of the country.
This trip took me from the north to the south. I visited National Taiwan Normal University, National Taichung University and Tainan National University of the Arts (TNNUA) as much more places with different local people who became my good friends.
This excursion gave me much impression but one thing would be regretful that I could not be relaxed as I wanted and one thing taught me that Taiwan is the place for residing not for traveling.
Anyway thanks to all who handed me happiness during the trip and hope to see you at the middle of this year!

In 2005 they released their 1st mini album, called “LITE” from “NMNL records”, owned by Tower records Japan. They did a tour all around Japan for the first time.
May 2006 they dropped their 1st full English album “filmlets” from the same label. On July they released 1st mini album “LITE” from “Transduction Records” in U.K and it is distributed in U.K and all around EURO by “Cargo”.
On September of the same year they went on a tour of U.K and Ireland during a couple of week. On November they took part in the project of “Radio Head Tribute” for the song “Everything in Its Right Place”.
Performance in FUJIROCK FESTIVAL‘07(Rookie a go go stage) was already decided. In 2008 they finished Phantasia Europe Tour 2008 with 2nd album “fantasia”.
